Staking TAO Tokens to the Rizzo Validator – Easy Version

Staking, also known as delegating, is a way for you to earn rewards by contributing your TAO tokens to help secure and maintain the Bittensor network. As one of the top validators, we are responsible for verifying transactions and maintaining the network’s security, and staking to us is simple – here’s how it works:

  1. First, you’ll need to have some TAO tokens in a compatible cryptocurrency wallet like the Polkadot.js wallet browser extension. If you don’t have any TAO yet, you can purchase them from exchanges like Gate.io.
  2. Next, you’ll want to delegate (or stake) your TAO to our Rizzo Validator. Head to Taostats and click the “DELEGATE STAKE” button to start the process.
  3. Simply follow the staking process in your wallet. This involves sending a transaction in TAO in order to “delegate” or “stake” your desired amount of TAO to the Rizzo Validator’s address.* (Note: Make sure to leave around 0.1 TAO in your wallet for future transactions!)
  4. After staking, your TAO will be added to our validator’s total stake, giving us more weight on the network. In return for contributing your stake, you’ll earn a portion of the rewards our Rizzo Validator receives for its work, minus a small fee that covers our operating expenses.
  5. Good news – your staked TAO remains in your wallet if you have chosen a non-custodial type wallet (like Polkadot), so you maintain full control of your tokens!

Staking TAO Tokens to the Rizzo Validator – Advanced Version

Staking, also known as delegation, allows TAO token holders to delegate (stake) any amount of their tokens to a subnet validator. This increases the validator’s effective stake and impact on the network. In return, the delegator (nominator) earns a share of the staking rewards.

Step 1: Set Up a Polkadot-Compatible Wallet

Bittensor operates on the Polkadot blockchain, so you’ll need a Polkadot-compatible wallet to store and manage your TAO tokens. Popular options include the Polkadot.js browser extension or the Talisman wallet.

Step 2: Obtain TAO Tokens

To stake to Rizzo Validator, you need to acquire some TAO tokens. These can be purchased from cryptocurrency exchanges like Gate.io or KuCoin, and then transferred to your Polkadot-compatible wallet.

Step 3: Delegate Your Stake

Delegate your TAO tokens to the Rizzo Validator using the following command:

Step 4: Earn Staking Rewards

By joining Rizzo, you participate in the Bittensor network as a nominator, contributing to its security and decentralization while earning staking rewards for your delegated TAO tokens.

After delegating your stake to the Rizzo Validator, you’ll start earning a share of the staking rewards generated by our validator, proportional to your delegated stake. Additionally, we offer daily giveaways, twice-weekly payouts, and ample earnings on your stake. Our validator takes a percentage cut (delegate take) from the rewards to cover our operating costs before distributing the remaining amount to you.
